Very nice comp you have here Pat. Not sure why you choose HDR but the process seems to be cutting out edges of the formations cookie cutter like and not real. Very sweet lo pov and that put camera so low. I sometimes use the toe of my boots as a tripod.

Thanks for the comment Rick. I actually posted this in Photo Art because I was trying to create a surreal sense of the scene that I experienced while shooting it. That's also why I used the HDR technique.

I think Marc decided it was better suited to this gallery and moved it.

I think this would look good in a non HDR photo.
Nice perspective, although I think it is straight, it has the illusion of needing some CCW rotation to me.

Thanks Dan.

I'd actually planned to work this with a different technique for this gallery but probably won't bother at this point.

Pat, regardless of POP photo or landscape, it's a really nice image. I've seen a couple of images in this locale with a foreground pool, but none I can recall had such nice cloud cover. Well Done. As for level or not, judging by the vertical alignment of the Organ, Three Gossips and their reflection, it looks perfectly straight to me. I was there a few days ago and didn't go up to this location due to plain blue skies, but should have because of the large pool.

Thanks for the comment Bill.

This was made about 7:30am. The wind picked up shortly after this and while it stayed cloudy the pool was pretty much gone by sunset. I wandered around a little more thinking I'd try a sunset shot back toward the La Sals.

I like this a lot Pat, really nice tone and the clouds are great, both in the sky and their reflection in the water. My only nit is in the reflection of the main butte there appears to be a grey "shadow" artifact at the lowest part of the reflection.
