Love your choice of dof here, Jim - it really brings out the forms and textures of the soon to open flower. Very striking image !!

This fits the 'emerging' aspect of the WC theme perfectly Jim.
Excellent details & colors, nicely done. :toast:

Very interesting and cool close-up view, Jim! I like your DOF choice that makes the flower center as well as some of the surrounding tips nice and sharp, while the rest fades away to softness. Love the pink and green combo too. Works great for the theme. Nice shot!

Believe it or not, we have prickly pear cactus in CT. Flowers in June I believe, with yellow flowers. Really enjoy you DOF choice Jim, emphasizing the center. Been to Tucson and loved it, especially botanical gardens and desert museum; must go back some day.

Congrats. Very nice pic. Details, focus, colors, background, pretty much everything all around...just a really good image. Deserved the recognition. Like the square crop also. The full bloom must be pretty nice also? Didn't see it yet on your website. Think you'll post one?
