Shot near the town of Groom, Texas, in the panhandle area. Near I-40. It's a two-picture manual focus blend. Used ETTR (expose to the right) for capture, then toned exposure down in LR5. Processed almost entirely in LR5, using CS6 for some minor tweaks. Also used a bit of Nik Color Efex Glamour Glow.

Hasselblad H4D/50 mpix
Hassleblad 35-90 zoom @ 35mm (DLSR equivalent 24-70)
Circular Polarizer
Gitzo tripod
Aperture priority +1

Excellent composition. I like your angle of attack and the repetition of structures, almost implying a progression of structures off-frame. The blend is expertly done. I would love to see a rendition of this in black and white! :toast:

Absolutely stunning detail here, Michael. Love these old rural farm and ranch land area takes. This works very nicely in that arena.

Really nice image of rural America. Like Phil, my first thought was a B&W conversion. I think it works really well both ways, and maybe even better in B&W.

Looks great, Michael. I grew up in country like this with grain elevators the dominant structure in every small town. Including the harvested (looks like wheat) field completes the story nicely.
