A River Crossing

I am headed to southern Utah next week for a "grand tour" of my favorite locations. About ten years ago I found this scene somewhere along Utah 24 near Capitol Reef. I originally thought that it was the Fremont, but not too sure. The setup was a bit tricky, as I had to jump across and let one leg of the tripod, as well as my own right leg, to straddle the river on the right for this framing.

Love the curves in the water.

Better you than me jumping across the rocks and the river ;^)

The photogenic S shape in the water works well with the interesting rocks. I can’t stop looking at what looks like a gooey substance on the left side of the rock. What is that stuff?

Should be a nice trip this time of year. Enjoy…
