This is a wonderful b&w image, Kah Kit! I like this comp with the layers and the sun breaking through the heavy rains looks fantastic. The larger version is especially cool to look at. Very nice!!

I love everything about this; the mood in particular. Beautiful B&W and beautifully captured

such a beautiful B&W Kah! Wow, this is gorgeous! :toast:
One small suggestion would be to burn in the top of the frame a little so that the attention is more centered on the backlit showers.

Very nice moody light.
I would think a color version would be very nice.

Very nice, Kah Kit. It is wonderful to catch such amazing conditions and to capture them so expertly. I particularly like the foreground layers of trees, light to dark and then the veil of rain and light. Wonderful black and white. There is one small hot spot right above the m in your watermark you may want to clone out. Small thing but noticeable in the large view.:toast:

I'm really digging the layering in the scene and the overall darkness in the image. My only suggestion might be to crop out the brightest part of the clouds from the top, they are distracting to my eye and would allow more focus on the highlighted rain. Great work as usual!

Thanks for your comments so far guys. I left the bright part of the sky and brought out the highlights a bit actually because I think the source of light is connected to the illuminated showers. Removing seems to unbalance the light/darkness in the frame for me.

Spectacular B&W, Kah! The strong contrast works well. I love the way the cloud burst makes the background hills and the foreground trees stand out.
