Hundreds of Still Waters
by Wayne Jones
What a broad topic for this WC: "Still bodies of water; ponds, puddles, even droplets." Seems like most of what I shoot is of still waters, (A week is too short for even a sampling in this gallery, so I'll also post some where I rarely post -- in the Avian and Wildlife Galleries.) This example covers only a tiny bit of space, but includes over 200 bodies of still water in one shot.
I always find it fascinating how the underside of leaves -- after they drop off and get flipped upside down like this red maple leaf -- hold raindrops in beads, while the side that's usually up sheds water in sheets.
PLEASE look at the larger version.
