Calf Creek Falls

Just spent a week in Capitol Reef/Escalante.
Might as well start with the famous one, Calf Creek Falls.
I took a lot of different shots at every angle but thought I would just post the straightforward
look at the whole scene. Kind of tough to beat, a really pretty waterfall at the end of a terrific hike.

1/5 sec., f16, D800, 16mm, CP & ND filter.

Very nice take on this familiar location, Dan. I like this angle of view and the wide lens usage too. This site has always been a favorite of mine with regard to any waterfall photographs. Just a thing about this wonderful flow in such an arid region.

I've only been here once over the many trips to Utah in the past, and I'd love to go back sometime.

I might be tempted to push the cyan sky just a tad toward darker blue, but that's just a personal thought nothing more. This works just fine as is.

Beautiful, must be very special there. Light, colors and waterfall really to my taste. we could think that we are there. Bravo!

Since I was just in that area, I look forward to your images from the trip! We didn't visit this location, but on my list is to visit this falls and to the vistas from the highway above.

This is a nice relaxing scene; the wider view gives a nice perspective.

Very nice scene you've captured Dan. I like the colors and tones in this. I might crop or clone the rocks in LR corner as they pull my eyes a bit. But great job as is.

Lovely image. I like how the small reflection of waterfall leads the eye to the darker pool of water. Has a pleasant spaciousness to it.
