Purple Finch

While I was doing the breakfast dishes yesterday, we kept getting some great morning sun through the clouds, so I managed to sneak 15 minutes between rain showers and found a couple of cooperative subjects. This was one of them.

1Div, 500mm f4 ISL + 2.0TC, Jobu Gimbal on RRS legs, f8, 1/800, iso 500, Aperture priority, no exposure compensation. Processed in LR5 & CS6. Cropped from horizontal to vertical and cloned a couple of bright oof apple leaves. Taken April 24th at 7:53 am.

Outstanding image! The OOF greenery in the BG helps to set off the colors of the finch. We are supposed to have them here in Illinois, but I have yet to see one. Thanks for sharing.
