Whites really pop from that background -- and my eyes are drawn right to the green and red eye -- nicely done -- exceptionally smooth background

Excellent portrait of this Great Egret. The detail in the whites is really nice. Excellent breeding color in the lores. My only wish would be for a bit more tonal difference between the upper bill and the BG near the tip. :toast:

Absolutely perfect portrait Bill. Well framed, great head position, the inclusion of some of the body which I think is very necessary for balance, very detailed and a clean background. Gotta love this!!

Superb detail where it should be, Bill. I love the dark bg and the detail in the whites is wonderful. If I had a wish for this image it would be for just a bit more dof. It looks like the tip of the beak is going just the slightest bit soft to my eye.
