I really like the surf and the raised foot. The detail looks nice in the larger version. Those longs plumes are special even thought the breeding color isn't coming up in the lores or in the foot yet. I do think I would rotate CW to level the water even though the Snowy will be slightly bent over.

Great capture Sandy. I like the white on white effect of this image. Really nice detail in the Snowy. I know the rotation is probably correct as shot, but I would be tempted to give it a bit of clockwise rotation to level out the surf a bit. Beautiful image as posted.

I like the white on white this photo depicts too. Large version is very sweet. Bet it would look great in B & W. I like the wave action and the motion of the egret. I may consider rotating it also.

Sandy,
The detail in the larger image is really good. Love the bubbly water around the feet and the raised foot. I can see why you've chosen NOT to rotate this image as this is clearly the right perspective. The leg this bird is standing on is vertical and if you chose to rotate to straighten the background and the water then the bird would be standing at an odd angle (leaning forward) and it would not look balanced at all. Neat moody image Sandy. I like this one. :toast:

I have been thinking for a while, but this must be first Egret I see (albeit only your image) at a coastline. Is that common ?
Nice shot - showing the circumstances pretty well ! Since it's the shoreline, I assume that the angle is right as presented and that the egret is walking up the slope. :toast: , Hans
