In the Eastern Gorge yesterday, the lupine has not bloomed yet unfortunately, but the view is always nice at this location.

A gorgeous POV from this spot, Dan. Maybe no lupine in bloom, but the balsam-root?....sure look good..... Nicely done...

Very pretty indeed.
I use this ultra wide lens and find that f8 is pretty sufficient for max. DOF from fore to aft, while also being this lens' highest quality aperture.
Just wondering why you needed to use f22 here.

Thanks, John.
Other than for night star photos, I have not used the lens enough to know what aperture is the best.
I went with F22, just for maximum DOF, but you are right f8 probably is enough.
The lens is remarkable for the money I have to say…...

Who needs lupines when you have these. The larger image has great depth and detail

The wide-angle perspective is very nice. I like the elements and the balanced lit. This maybe feels a bit warm to me, but that's certainly a personal preference.

It's a nice composition and concept, just needs better light.

Even without the lupines this turned out beautifully, Dan. I really like the depth to this scene.

Looks like the desert-parsley is not blooming yet too? I hope to make it out this weekend; thanks for the inspiration!
