The Paine mountain range in Patagonia is reflected in the Rio Paine at sunset. Windless weather which is an exception in Patagonia.

That is some still water, Chris. I love the comp and the reflections are incredible, I'm a little undecided about the driftwood fg.. It is certainly a stark statement but IMO the shot may be better without it. I think there is some obligation to add a FG element that becomes overused. I find myself doing that a lot . Sacrificing a beautiful simple scene by trying to cover all the bases. At any rate, beautiful take on an exotic location.

Very inviting image Chris! The rugged peaks make for some fine reflections. Lovely composition and light. I find the piece of driftwood a little distracting, but I guess that could be a personal preference.

The driftwood seems a bit contrived, I think had it not been front and center it would work a bit better.
I really like the rest of the image.

A very beautiful scene Chris with a wonderful reflection and I like the haze on the mountains also. I'm on the fence about the log as I think it would also look great without it. Very nice image though.

Crazy calm! Very 3d effect here. Might even be a compelling bw. Nice work.

This is way cool! The stark white driftwood really grabs my eyes and makes a wonderful counterpoint to those craggy peaks slightly softened by distance.

A very serene scene from a place with such turbulent weather, simple and elegant. The driftwood doesn't bother me.

Thanks guys for all your comments. Some of you were in doubt about the driftwood in the foreground. Therefore I have reposted an image of the same scene without foreground that was taken half an hour earlier. You will find it in the gallery.
