I can see why you keep coming back to this, Riick. Wonderful light and the sand looks so soft and almost fluffy. The only suggestion I would have is to eliminate some of the fg ,cropping from the bottom and the right to put the focus on the sweet spot. Really nice work.

Hi Rick! With the thumbnail, I thought this was a snowy scene! My biggest issue here is the comp - the lack of a prominent or main subject to draw the eye to. Selecting a stronger foreground closer to the camera can help, but also, finding a pattern in the fg and midground vegetation that will lead the eye through the image. In this case, you have a very dominant horizontal line of vegetation right in the middle of the frame that distracts from the rest of the image.

This is an image of such nice contrasts Rick! I really like the processing. As for the comp, I'd suggest cropping the bottom of the frame just a bit. :toast:

Fantastic work for me, Rick! The repetitive pattern of the bushes together with the elegant shapes of the snow covered hills is stunning to my eye. Yor processing is spot on in my opinion.

The background is amazing, just terrific light and shapes.
I would make this more of a pano and take some off the bottom to focus on that.

Interesting photo...I'm not sure of the scale or if this is snow or sand! I'm just noticing some ripples that would seem like sand.
Lots to keep the eye here in the image. The tufts of grass make a nice contrast to the smooth white....sand.

The whiteness of the sand, especially the distant dunes is amazing. I agree that this needs a visual anchor or a shape to move the eyes through the foreground (bottom half). Alternatively, this might be an "Ansel Adams" moment where you shoot standing on the roof of your car. That would let you see more of the hills in the distance where the shapes and scattered vegetation are wonderful.

Wonderful tones and colors in this Rick. I thought it was snow also. I agree about a little off the bottom but very nice as is.

Very nice scene and image, Rick. Well worth your time and attention, I'd say. I concur with other comments about cropping up from the bottom, or looking for a more prominent foreground subject. The white sands are definitely very cool. :toast:
