Amazing color display and I like the low perspective. How do you hide in the jungle with all those colors?

Love the low angle, and how he is going about his business foraging in the leaves for an insect. You obviously didn't disturb him at all. He is a spectacular bird - magnificent colors and many long feathers. Lovely catchlight in his eye. Those spurs look like they could do some damage! (Did I read somewhere that Jungle Fowl are the ancestors to our domestic chickens? I'll have to look that up.) Wonderful all-around image. :toast:

Excellent IQ - I'd never suspect that high ISO setting. Nice color and sharpness, good pose and setting.

Certainly is, Rob. I used to live in an area with a feral chicken population along a walking trail and it's amazing how closely they reverted to the wild type without supervision of their breeding. Excellent detail and I love the light.

Stunning colors. Like the shot. Agree with Richard's ISO comment. Who would have thought this pict would look so good at this ISO? :toast:

Great picture and a superb looking bird. I had some old english /Dutch game for years that looked a lot like this.
Wonderful

Rob, Amazing image given the iso. The techs and detail are excellent. Was this from a hide? I may be missing something, but it looks as if he has a spur on only one leg (back leg as we view it). Is that the case with the species? :toast:

Hi Rick,

Yes it was from a hide and I hadn't noticed the single spur. I'm not sure there should be one on the other leg or not.

cheers

Good looking chook Rob. Terrific detail on the head and neck.
My only tweak would be to lighten up the tail feathers a wee bit.
