Hello Jagdeep

You were quite close? Like how the trunk is checking out things while he walks down the embankment.
Some detail in the face area but maybe could draw out a little more detail there?

Thanks for Sharing

I like this Jagdeep, the diagonals and the dust being kicked up lends a sense of motion. Very interesting boulder field, unusual landscape.

Very nice. I like the light and the rocky environment. It kind of looks like something got hold of its' ear or maybe it is the viewing angle. I looked at several of the elephant shots in your gallery and this one looks different from the others. I always enjoy looking at your elephant shots.

Really cool shot. Composition and crop look great. I like the content, colors and temperature.

As for the shadows, I wouldn't mind more light on his face, as Bill mentioned.

My question - Did you use Matrix metering (or Canon equiv.) Looks like the background has great exposure.
Would spot or center weighted lightened up his lower half a bit? What's your opinion on this?

Thanks friends!
Alan: It is multi-segment metering, what you guessed. I believe that centre weighted metering would have lightened up the elephant.
