I have lots of Coreopsis in my flower beds but have never taken such a close look of their back before. These are pretty small flowers to get such a close up view! The backlighting on this really helps these yellow petals glow and I like the star-like backing behind the petals. I do wish the back part was brightened up just a bit to allow better viewing. Nice comp of the flower in the bottom left corner. I'm looking forward to when these bright sunny flowers are blooming again!

Carolyn & Patricia,

Thanks for the comments. I did experiment with a lightening of the calyx, but it seemed to me to distract from the visual effect of the light through the petals, which to me is what makes this image.
