Sandy, it looks like you had that same partial overcast that seems to dog me every time I try to do these little guys. Add to that the fact that they are virtual motion machines and you always have fun. Nice action. The narrow zone of focus looks good. Maybe a slight color cast. On my monitor the upper breast under the chin looks to be clipping a little. Good work on a tough subject to catch up to let alone shoot.

Such a nice capture of this little fluff ball. The low POV and the open beak may the image for me. Hope there are a lot of these little guys around because they are under stress in California. Be safe on your trip and good light.

Sandy,
Excellent point of view. You had to be laying pretty low to get this image. Very sharp and excellent exposure. Nice behavior shot with the beak open. Looks like you had some cloud cover for this image. Have a great trip!

Very cute. I like the light sky color with the light colored bird.

Low POV and shallow DOF really worked well to create a lovely image of this little puffy cotton ball of bird. Nicely done Sandy!

Wonderful shot Sandy, love the calling pose, limited dof and the almost monochromatic look to this.

A wonderful capture of this little beauty Sandy One of my favorite plovers for which I do not have a single good photo. I really like your low perspective and soft light, excellent details in the critical areas, perhaps I would wish for more depth of field.

Congratulations Sandy on another WP here. To me the title says it all, this guy is looking quite vocal. Nice capture overall.

Sandy, be sure to enter this in Weekly Challenge if the theme is Cuteness! That;s a great picture. Limited DOF focuses on the bird and he's well placed in the frame. Great timing to get his beak open. Well, I don't think we have snowy plovers up here so this is very interesting for me as someone who likes to watch shorebirds.
