Ian,
the flower has a really nice soft & delicate looking feel to it. As well as the actual overall lighting. An excellent composition also. Nicely done.

Nicely taken flower back, Ian. I really like the frame-filling background you have for this flower. The varying color tones and lines of these OOF leaves provide the perfect natural background for this joyful flower. If this were mine, I probably would have perked up the flower a bit more with more saturation/brightness to make it even more "joyful" looking. Can't wait until we finally get to see some of these blooming. We had an inch of snow on the ground this morning. . .winter doesn't seem to want to let go in our area.

Just checked my daffodils yesterday, now that most of our snow is gone. They are only about 1/2 inch high, and won't be blooming for another month. I like this composition because you included a bit of the yellow center and still have enough of the backside. Background foliage is nicely consistent and defocussed.

Neat look at the backside of this daffodil. The view of the bloom is lovely and I very much like the slightly soft but well defined background leaves.
