Mom's Not Happy

I caught these two sitting in a tree next to the water. At first, they were both just resting peacefully. Then, it was almost as if the drake did something to irritate the hen. She quickly walked over to him and proceeded to give him an earful. What is funny is the almost surprised look on the drake's face. It's as if he is saying "What the heck did I do?" We've all been there, right guys?

A unique image given the tree setting. Nice IQ. Colors and tones look much better in this.

Yep, generally when I missed something on the Honey Do list. Great detail as always. The whites are an the edge if not a little over on my monitor. it may be worth a second look. :toast:

Jerry,
A marvelous "moment" captured here. A perfect illustration as to the similarities of animal behaviour to our own

Jerry,
I have done plenty of Wood Duck photography and never seen them in the trees before. Great scene :toast:

Thanks everyone for the comments and critiques.

Rick T, this was taken at Trinity Park in Fort Worth.

Rick C, I agree that some of the whites are blown a bit. The white on the head is very difficult to properly expose. I usually underexpose when shooting Woodies to try to prevent this.
