Ian, this is a lovely Crocus! I like the chiaroscuro and the directional flow. I think a bit of judicious cropping might benefit the image, cropping from the right and a bit less from below. By balancing the main bloom on the right third line and centering it top to bottom the dark area on the right and the competing bloom at the bottom is minimized. :smile:

Nice composition and exposure. Just a persnonal nit, I would have cloned out the "hot spots" just above the petal and some of the "whitish areas" on the right side of the image. :wavey:

This really shows off the striped crocus well, with a great "star" and good supporting cast, especially the single droplet.

Great lines Ian, and I love the light. At first glance, of the thumbnail, I was not sure what I was going to think. I like it a lot.
