Snowflake Buck

Hi everyone!! I took this image last fall during one of the first snows at our new house!

I really like the way the snowflakes are the main story and the buck is out of focus in the background, silently making his way along the hillside. (I know you can't see his antlers very well, but he was actually a pretty good-sized buck!)

I can't wait for spring and summer to come so I can photograph all the mule deer fawns!

It is a neat image with the mule deer almost hidden by the snow. Nicely done. Thanks for sharing.

I like the idea behind this. However, I think you needed more deer or less snow. Images like this, in my opinion, work when the snow (or rain, fog) sets the mood, but there is enough of the subject to see it at least somewhat clearly. Thanks for sharing.

Talk about Where's Waldo?. It takes a bit of looking to find him. I think the snow interfered with your focus so he isn't sharp, but this is more about the pattern and the feel any way. Well done and well composed.

An interesting concept, but you need to look at the large version.

I wonder if a tad of selective contrast on the buck might make it"pop" just a little more?
