Yesterday I posted the female, this is the male. A very beautiful bird.

Very colorful bird. Had not seen photo of one before. The plant covers up too much of the birds body IMHO. But still a nice shot. Thanks for sharing.

He is handsome, but this is one of the few times where I would say I liked the lady better. The BG is super. His perch does block a little, but we have to work with what they give us. The face looks like it might benefit from some additional selective sharpening. Thanks for sharing these. It is always great to see new species.

I like the perch and the background. This is a case where the extra empty space on the left doesn't do much for me. I think the subject would be just fine centered (since the plant + blackbird form a bit of a triangle shape).

I like the comp as presented personally. I also like the head turn and perch. I am wondering if this is a bit of a crop tough? Looks a tiny bit soft in the larger version.

Excellent, Jefferson. the female had me wondering about the "Blackbird" name a bit, though the beak was a dead giveaway.
