During my recent winter trip to YNP, I happened to see this Snowshoe Hare on the move and snapped a couple of shots. This one against the rock is one of my favorites. Comments always appreciated.

1DIV, EF600, ISO 400, f6.3, 1/1000, tripod, Cropped to about 40% of original.

The rock definitely makes this image for me. The techs are good and you stopped the action very well. Nice image. Thanks for sharing.

Nice work catching him on the move, I also really like the colourful rock background that is a perfect contrast to the mostly white scene and subject. :toast:

Extremely difficult find. The boulder is a nice element here, and certainly helps make the hare stand out.

Hello Ralph

Good to capture this guy in his jumping pose!:)

Sorry...but I think the background rock is great but detracts from the focus on the Hare. I find the rock too powerful and too large and too sharply detailed. My eye only sees the rock when I revisit the scene:(

thanks for sharing
