There's almost nothing happier, than a cat in a box! Here's Lily. I was going to post this to the "joy" weekly challenge, but I missed the deadline.

Hello Lucy
Cats are Excellent models, with their beautiful sharp features.
So what have you done to capture this effect?

Thank you...I used Fractalius, then a little tonal contrast.
But, I did start out with a really nice photo of Lily. She had just jumped in the box, herself. And, I caught her staring at "something" interesting above her. FYI, the box was on the island in my kitchen. And she sat in that box for much of the day......Oh, to be a cat and be entertained by the smallest thing.
When I looked at this shot, I was happily amazed at the detail caught in her eye! It was so bright! I think, that's why I decided to "electrify" her a bit.
You should look at Sandy Richards' work, if you like this effect. I have been using it mostly for flowers and some birds, and she has been using it mostly on egrets and has just started mammals.....
Last week, she posted the most amazing gorilla face, which got the weekly pick in Photo Art. It is titled "Pensive". That photo inspired me to do this one and one of a baby giraffe, that I'm getting ready to post.
