I have been wanting to have a go at reprocessing this one for awhile now. I posted a very contrasty version of this last year. I would say this is more typical of my usual work flow. My first edit with Adobe CC. I must say I do like the highlight and shadow sliders in the raw converter.

Comments and suggestions are appreciated.

Hey,

Looking at this now, I may have been just a little too conservative with the color. A guess trying to go in the opposite direction of the first attempt. Do look at the larger one, the smaller one is a little crunchy.

This is fantastic, no opportunities here. Its a very warm image, which carries its own beauty well however I'm more into cooler tonalities. I see that orange skyline and my brain thinks pollution.

Nice work, Chris! Great comp, great light, interesting detail in the rocks and sand, just a pleasure to view. :toast:

Nice image with great light. You might consider cropping the top of the image a bit to concentrate the eye more on the nice foreground.

Hi Chris, Beautiful image! I like the warm tones in this and nice work on the comp. The foreground looks especially cool with the streaks of water and nice textures in the sand. Good work on this! :toast:

I like this a lot, Chris. That foreground color is fantastic. My eyes are reluctant to leave it though the formations and sky are also quite appealing. Well done. Chet

I agree that the foreground is the star here. The large view is very cool. I don't think I'd change a thing other than cropping out the buoy or boat on the center horizon

Sweet! The color and light have a clarity and color that feel very natural. Nice job on the comp and timing of the wave.

Chris - the contrast in this version is much improved compared to the original version. Still an exceptional composition with great color. I could see boosting the saturation just a little more - not too much though.
