You have heard of Flying Blind, this guy was flying into the blind.
Was not sure about how this image turned out after processing and thought I would post it to see how the majority votes.

This one leaves me speechless. On one hand it is an awesome capture, on the other it is a little too close for a pleasing view. Wish the background wasn't so red.

Ok, this one is going to wake you up at night. Definitely a unique angle and view. The detail in the head is great. The flash fall off and the ghosting tail feathers above his head make this otherworldly.

Unusual, unique image! Like something coming right at you in a dream. Probably different than you expected, but certainly one of a kind. :toast:

Mike,
Very unique image. You could not possibly have imagined this when you captured this frame. Almost like a dream with the depth of field fall off front to rear. The head is very sharp and the wing shimmer is really nice. Terrific image and very unique Mike. What is the background??? :toast:

Thanks to everyone for the comments on this image.
The BG is the pine straw covered ground of a clearing leading up a hill next to a Pine Forest and the shot was taken from a tree stand blind at a slight downward angle.

Mike, this is a stunning catch! I like the negative space on the left and the red hints in the background. I could also see this as a square crop.
