Hi Steven. Welcome to NPN and to the Macro & Close-up gallery. I like the mix of green and blue colors and the separation of the close up stalk from the out of focus ("oof") background ("bg"). The blurred bg is nice. I find the oof flowers at the "power point" of the image (i.e., the flowers up front just to the left of the center of the image) a bit distracting. This is where the eye naturally falls. Of course, I understand that, absent stacking, it was not possible to render the entire up front stalk in focus without making the bg distracting, so that's a compromise type thing. Thanks for sharing. :wavey:

Scott makes a valid point. The OOF flower where the eye would naturally fall is a distraction. A simple rule: let the most seeable part of your picture be perfect and dominate the picture.
