I posted a couple shots from this session at the time they were taken, and held this one back because it seemed weaker then.

I like the diagonal placement of the perch and subject. Looks very good, and sharp.... for the high iso. I do see some kind of artifact in the background, upper right side. Not sure what is causing it, but maybe the high iso. :toast:

Wonderful comp and pose of this little beauty, Rich. Good detail considering the crop, slow shutter and high ISO. In terms of post production, you may want to consider some noise reduction in the BG. Nice work overall.

Lovely comp and inquisitive pose. I like the smooth background but I'd hazard another round of NR as I do notice the ISO push.

Nice pose and the detail sings in the larger version, right down to its whiskers. A sweet shot for iso 1600 with no NR. :toast:

I certainly wouldn't mind having this in my portfolio. I love the pose and angled perch. Excellent detail where it's important, and I like the bird's obvious focus on something other than the camera.

It's tough to get close to these little guys. I like the diagonal pose and how you've got the head and beak sharp.

Really like the 'arrow' like pose, sharp where it must be.
Well composed, looks very good for ISO 1600 Rich.
