My neighbour has taken to growing crocuses in pots, and I couldn't resist this one, even though the location made it difficult to get a fuller view. A small stack used for the flower centre.

Canon 400D, 100mm Macro lens, 1/40 sec @ f9, 0.67ev, ISO 200, Helicon stack.

I find the Crocus a hard assignment but this turned out pretty well. For me composition is the deal breaker with this flower......they're so close to the ground it's just hard to make it work. You must have been in the prone position to get this perspective and I think it paid off. BTW the details are very nice too. Nice shot Ian.

A very nice bloom Ian. I should try these in a pot some time. I like the center, especially. I am not sure about the orientation - having it laying down instead of standing up.

Beautiful lines and curves in the petals. Your stacking worked very well to show excellent detail in the center. I would like to see a little more space under the bottom petal, but maybe that wasn't possible.
