You Can See for Miles

The view from Crater Lake National back towards Mt Bailey some 53 miles away. There are ten ridge lines in this view from one of the road side small parking areas easy to find.

I am conflicted on the bottom tree line and if snow should be lett in / or out. Boy do I love Oregon and its boundless beauty. Shot last May.

I really love all those different layers/ridges. The white snow spots are bit distracting but it's not a big deal for me.

Rick, I like your comp here and all those layers look great. I like how the blue tones keep fading in each layer. A cool shot! I do agree with Bill that the snow spots are a little distracting and it sounds like you might be thinking that too. Not a big deal to me either but would probably prefer it without the snow.

Love the green to blue transition across all of those ridges. Nicely seen, Rick. I think that some of the snow makes a nice addition to the story, but the biggest, brightest bits on the right are mildly distracting.

I understand your conflict about the tree line at the bottom. What really grabs my eye on this are those layers of blue! What happens if you crop off the bottom to make it a panorama?
The snow is mildly distracting to me, but not a lot. Still love the blue layers..... :toast:
