Another snow day Cardinal image...not a lot else happening here! This was taken near a pasture where I run my dogs, near the end of January.

50D, 700mm, ISO400, 1/100,F5.6 LARGER version included. Thank you for your comments/critiques...I learn from them all! Sharon

Looks like he is bearing up in the cold. Very accurate with good definition. I can feel the cold!

Hello Sharon

Nice detail. I have difficulty bringing out feather detail in a red cardinal but you have done it....... very good

A gorgeous job on the Cardinal, Sharon. Since you have some snowy days to deal with you might want to play with removing the two slanted oof twigs in the bg

Excellent capture. The head turn is very nice and the larger version shows the falling snow even better. The detail in the Cardinal is really nice and BG is complementary. I don't even find the closer twig behind its head all that bothersome. The eye shows well in the larger image.

Perfection!!! Sharp, colorful, great head turn, good eye contact, and the falling snow just tops this one off for me. WOW!

Lovely setting and detail Sharon, a little bit tight in the frame top and bottom for me. :toast:

It's nice to know that although this bird is frozen, it is nice and warm here. Great pose, Sharon. Very nice! :toast:

Nice sharp details, like the bits of snow about the cards face/head too Sharon.
The techs look excellent, great pose & framing.
Very well done! :toast:
