One final image from that morning on Cobble Beach. This image has a slightly different mood than the previous two as the sun was lighting up the scene just a bit before disappearing back into the heavy cloudcover. Thanks for your thoughts on the other two from that morning.

I love it when the light breaks through and across the ocean like this. Another nice comp with excellent mood. The blues go really well with the neutrals of the rocks, too.

The large view is really nice, Ed. The subtle blue in sky and water and wonderful light anchored by the cobbles on the beach, makes a sweet comp. I'd love to see this in b&w, but that's just me.

Well need I say I love scenes like this Ed. My only nit (minor) is that I wish there was a little bit more structure in the water motion in the lower right through mid center. The boulders and light in on the horizon are indeed enjoyable.

Ed, The large version really takes you in to this scene and I enjoy the feel very much. Sure worth the click to take a look! A small thing for me too, but I do agree with Eva that a bit more structure and or detail in the lower right water might work nice. I also like Gary's thinking on this in b&w. It would just be fun to see what that does with this image. After all that I do think it is very nice as is...

Here is a B&W rendition and a little burning in the water highlights in the LRC for a little more definition. Thanks everyone.

The light really makes this shot. I also really like your choice of shutter speed and the blur of the water.

I love the scene/mood but I would love to see a bit more structure/details in the water

Your series shows off a neat place and a special time, Ed. My favorite is the previous post, with it's touch of warm sunrise. I really like the rocks and the sky in this shot, but find myself wishing for more detail in the surf (lower right). I also like the collection of steely blues, which are missing from the b&w version.
