Frogs and other amphibians around the world are under increasing pressure. Field research and captive breeding programs are seeking ways to reverse the loss and to preserve species in serious trouble. This poison dart frog recently hatched at the Miller Park Zoo when this photo was taken.

Mamiya 645, Ektachrome film.
flash. No other data available.

I like the image, wish the woman was a little softer, she is in focus enough for me to distract from the frog.

I really like this, John. The chosen depth of field actually tells the story of the plight of this frog. Without human intervention it may not exist. The frog is very sharp and the women just soft enough to imply her importance without dominating. Great work. :toast:

Fabulous image for the EPJ category. Love the unusual frog on the spoon and the caretaker behind him. :toast:
