Downy

Love these little guys. This male looked very perky, maybe it was the nearby female that was making him perk up his feathers so nicely. The downy was on a feeding station in a nearby park. Another minus 30 day so I took this from my car.

Nikon D800, f5.6, 1/1600, 300 mm plus 1.4 tc.

Thanks for looking and critiques appreciated.

A lovely portrait, May. The light is great, the cocked angle of the head is perfect and the techs are great. Plus the perch is interesting. Well done.

Very nice capture. The detail in the feathers is excellent. His pose and the comp work well together.

Wow what a cutie! Outstanding detail and sharpness, all those pixels from the D800 did a spectacular job capturing a
beautiful shot. Well done May.

And I'm bundling up like an Eskimo for 0 Celsius. Superb detail and I love the cocked head, May. Wish you'd had a bit more room on the bottom.

Very nice overall May.
I see some motion blur/lack of sharpness in the LP that detracts a bit.
Well done.
