This is a portion of the wind farm at Spring Creek Valley, Nevada. it was brought on line in 2012 and was controversial from the start. It seems that there was a migration of Mexican bats, that lived in caves close to the valley, and are particularly susceptible to the pressure changes created by the blades of the windmills. Additionally, the bird mortality created by this wind farm was expected to be unacceptable. What struck me was the quiet elegance of this remote site as opposed to the coal power plant in Page, AZ that I photographed a couple of weeks ago. I suggest the lessor of two evils, both with their inevitable consequences.

I like the well contrasted layers of your comp, Great title choice Gary.
Those 'blades' stand out nicely, well done!:toast:
PS - Don't get me started on the coal vs wind thing..
Of course I want clean energy, but this "war on coal" the EPA's waging (bypassing congress) isn't the way to get there IMHO..

I like the image, something about having the wind turbines in the middle doesn't work for me.Maybe crop the bottom so the occupy the lower third?
