Another from Sunday morning. I struggled with the crop for this one, trying the 2x3 and square crops and finally settling for 4x5 as a compromise. Te image does not need straightening-this was a slanted branch that it landed on.

1Div, 500mm f4 ISL + 1.4TC, Black Widow head mounted to blind, f5.6, 1/1250, iso 800 Av mode with +2/3 compensation. Processed in LR5 & CS6. Cropped to 8.5MP. Cloned some badly oof snow along part of the bottom. Taken at 9:58 am under cloudy skies on February 9th.

Your comments and criticisms are always appreciated.

Thanks for looking,

I say it's good to venture out of the box sometimes when composing..
But then, it's in a box isn't it:biggrin:
You techs are right on the money Dennis, the little one looks gorgeous man :toast:

I really like this chickadee and the nice details and chestnut sides. My mind's eye is telling me this is tilted...the center of gravity of the bird just doesn't match the stance...almost making it look like it is frozen onto the perch! A very interesting composition! Sharon
