This is my first NPN post in a LONG time. I hope you enjoy the view of Pennsylvania in winter. D90, ISO-500, 1/800th sec., f-11.0, at 40mm. Please view the larger image, and all feedback is welcomed.

Classic looking NE winter scene. I possible, I might try returning when some side lighting hits the barns and snowy field to add extras depth to the image. Like the comp.

Thanks everyone! Nice to have a post up at least. I agree Harry, I have a vision for this spot in my mind. But it's been so rare that I've been out, with a camera, that I shot it in the available light. I shall return!

What a great barn and outbuildings. I agree with Harry, with the right light this would sing.

Hi Gary, again, thank you. I totally agree. The sun comes up (depending upon the time of year) approximately just to the left of the buildings, and would light them up nicely. That's the shot I want and am waiting for. It's funny, I posted this on Facebook as I use that to show old and new photos, and I mentioned how the light was less than ideal.

Well, of course on FB, there are much less demanding standards!! And I received several comments how they "loved the light the way it is" and "I was being too critical of myself".

Of course, I took them with a grain of salt, knowing as you and Harry have pointed out that with the RIGHT LIGHT and time of day, this could be truly special. That's why FB posting is what it is, and NPN posting is where the money-feedback is!!! Glad to be back and get some advanced opinions!

I'm glad you're posting again Bill. I always enjoy your scenes as my heart belongs in Pennsylvania. I hope you get the right light on this image in the not too distant future.

Hi Bill, Nice seeing you back! I too agree with trying this in light that could really make this special. That said, I like this a lot as is too. It has a peaceful quiet mood that I'm enjoying very much! Cheers, Nick
edit: your large version looks especially nice!!
