Seawall Twilight

Nikon D700
Nikon 17-35 @ 24mm
f11 @ 1.6 sec.
ISO 400
tripod
MLU & cable release
Acadia NP, ME

This was taken shortly after my last post. The sun had already set and left a bit a warmth in the clouds as the blue of twilight was taking over. I am curious as to whether this works for you or not as blur of water motion may be to much.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Ed

Man, I love the blue hour , Ed. This is especially nice with the swipe of color left over from the sun set. The blur of water works for me as I really feel like I'm there. Nice work, Ed. :toast:

I like the first one better, although this has a nice mood.
The water blur looks good for me.
Although it is the blue hour, I think a bit less blue would look nice.

This is another nice image with a very different mood than the previous. For me the first image is preferable. I like its color, lighting, energy and mood. Chet

Pretty scene Ed and I like the water blur mixed with the spray. Very relaxing mood to this also. The blues look great to me and just enough shadow detail for the light. It might be nice to see more saturation in the pinks in the sky for more drama but that's me personally. Great as is.

This imparts a cool and soft mood. I love the pastels all through it. Just lovely, Ed! :toast:

I prefer the first Ed. The power of the waves in that one are missing here. This does have an ethereal quality that is nice too though.

Hey Ed... nice colors and exposure here. I think I prefer the first. The action from the wave seems more tied to the rocks and waves. In this version the mist kinda looks like it's appearing from the air. I do think that this version is much more serene than the first, so it may just depend on the mood you want to portray.

Thanks for your thoughts everyone, always appreciated. I felt the same way myself as the first has more energy with the second having more of a serene mood.
