Morning Robin

Found this Robin at Bombay Hook yesterday morning just as the sun was clearing the horizon. You can see the sunrise in its eye. It was fun watching it pluck and down holly berries for breakfast. Slow day at the Hook...everything's iced in, but, it was just nice to have a day to be outside with the temperature being above single digits!

50d, 700mm, ISO 400, 1/200, F8 LARGER version provided, too. Thanks for your comments/critiques...I appreciate them all! Sharon

Sweet light and great catch! Love the berries and holly
I think this would be even stronger if the robin were not dead-center.

Beautiful colors in this image, Sharon! It's cool seeing the sunrise in it's eye and the berry in it's mouth. Very nicely done!

Excellent capture, Sharon. If it were mine, I might not center the Robin quite to much. Otherwise, lovely work.

Nice warm colors, also like the berry and the sunrise in the eye! Well done to capture both. Don't mind the center position. Thanks for sharing.

Sweet shot. The berry, the bush, the BG and the colors all look great. Composition works fine for me.

To me the comp seems well balanced. First impression is very much too centered, but there is ample space ahead of the bird, just enough behind so the tail is not too close and I feel enough above and below.
Light is nice as is eye contact. A little more sharpening would probably not go astray.
