Nice shot of this coot. I think they are kind of under-rated as avian photo subjects by most of the photographers I know I guess because they are kind of small and unspectacular birds but they do some very interesting and amusing things. I have some good shots of them running along the surface of the water chasing each other and running from the gulls. I agree the water looks very nice in this shot and I like the clean reflection and the trailing blue water. Sweet shot!

I like the wonderful clean water patterns and the coot's reflection. A lower perspective would help if possible, way to go.

Good exposure on the cot; the water color and texture adds a lot to the image.

Nice pose and great water.
From here, it looks as if it could use a bit more contrast -
fine image!

The water is unique and really makes this image. The bird is fine if a little too centered.

Wow, that is gorgeous water, Jerry. Almost makes me wish the Coot weren't there. However, I do like the coot as well.

The water is fabulous and the coot is exposed nicely, too. I might consider cloning out the white line on the neck in the reflection. Again, the water is just fabulous and would make a very pleasing abstract on its own! Sharon
