This is from last weekend in my backyard near the feeder. It was a windy day with snow on the ground from a recent snowfall.

A very nice portrait with good detail Barb, in the large version there is a fair amount of noise showing, so I would run some noise reduction on the bg.

Wonderful pose and if you tone down the noise as Nate's suggests you have a winner.

Great shot of this beautiful bird. Along with the noise reduction already mentioned, I would try to bring out a little more detail in the eye.

Nice pose, detail, and I like the bit of ice about the beak Barb.
Great work under the windy/lower light conditions

Hello Barb
Beautiful Specimen. The Cardinals reds are very difficult to show off the detailed feathers but you have done a good job here!
Not sure on your crop but I would prefer if you had room some more space all around and more space where he is looking into . Also in Larger version can see a Natural Catchlight but quite weak. Maybe a little brighter there would show off this Impressive guy even more.
Thanks for sharing

Thank you for your comments and suggestions. Here is the image with noise reduction applied to the bg with Topaz Denoise. I also dodged the catchlight in the eye to make it show up more.

nice one, Barb. nice colorful bird with good details against a nice monochrome bg. the bg noise was my only nit and you've addressed that.
