Albert you have got some cracking detail and the snow on the perch just adds to the image, very nice indeed.

Great detail, especially in the large version. The perch and the snow are mostly a bonus, but a bit strong and somewhat of a distraction from the bird. Perhaps softening and darkening it a bit would be worth looking at.

Albert, very nice composition. Really excellent perch with a lot of character. Woodpecker well exposed. Not to tight for me. Dave

That's one gorgeous perch, Albert, and the snow on it improves it even more. Nice Downy too

Super shot of this Downy Albert, it all comes together here, perch, detail on bird, snow. How did you get so close? Were you in a blind? :toast:

Nice close-up and detail, good BG and light.. The perch is really cool. I assume that is snow and some kind of fungus. :toast:

Hi Nate...... :wavey: I appreciate your comment........ yes ... it was a portable plastic tent like blind set in the snow. after waiting one day in the cold for a shot .. the birds became familiar with the blind.
