Bosque Coot

I normally would pass up this species...just not one of my favorites! But the shovelers I was hoping would come in closer kept me waiting....so, I shot a few images of this coot in the nice still water. I was sitting on a log at water's edge, and used my knees for stability.

50d, 700mm, ISO 800, F11, 1/1250 LARGER version provided. Thanks in advance for any comment/critique. I learn from them all! Sharon

Sharon this is a very nice, uncomplicated take on the coot - the symmetry of bird and reflection is the captivating issue. I think I would add yet more visual impact to the reflection by simply executing a selection on the reflected eye and increase its brightness/contrast.
