Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada.
Nikon D800, 24mm, 1/30sec @ f/16, ISO 100, no filters.
I took this photo a while back, during a pristine -5F morning in the Canadian Rockies. Thanks for looking!

This is one of those images that make you feel you can walk right into the scene. I like the simplicity of the composition, the nice banding of light and shadows and, of course, that wonderful glowing light. Superb!

Beautiful winter scene. We sure could use some of that snow in Cal.

Quite nice. I also think it works very well as a B&W. It looks warmer the -5 though.

Here you go, now this is the stuff that actually makes it on to postcards and living room walls.
Love the comp and a happy positive mood of the light.

Love the side lighting and the mist . It looks like -5. You can feel the total silence. Very cool.

Sharp, clear and it feels cold! Beautiful look to this, nice 3D look to the snow contours.
Very well done….

Very beautiful. I like the pristine and simple composition. A "silent" but strong message.

Hi Alex - The composition and pristine purity of, and shadows on, the snow are very nice. The only changes that I would consider are to crop out the several partial tree branches on the left border, and crop or clone out the partial tree on the right border. This is a beautiful image in temps that I'm accustomed to in Minnesota (but still do not appreciate).

Like the purity and pristine of this winterscape a lot. The low lying fog a nice addition.

Beautiful winter scene Alex. The mist and gentle processing suits the image nicely. The brightness suits this perfectly. Great job.
