Gale force winds blow snow off mountain peaks in Glacier National Park. I was able to shoot these conditions from the relative calm of the west side of the park before being immersed in them for a few days on the east side.

Definitely looks wild! Your processing and comp. do a fine job of emphasizing that wildness.

Thanks Mark, it was a wonderful thing to see this from relatively calm conditions, but it was a whole different thing to feel it!

Thomas, I can feel the power in this shot and see the shadows racing across this peak. Wonderful capture and perfect b/w conversion. Definately no nits from me. BTW, there will be avalanches in those leeward chutes.

You certainly caught some dramatic conditions. I think the choice of b&w enhances the energy here.

Don't understand why this is getting so few comments Thomas. This is a dynamic shot with great light, motion, and excellent B&W processing. A pleasure to view, especially the large version! :toast:

Really like the motion in the clouds and the shading across the mountain. Looks great in B&W and nice processing also. Real nice.

I love the story that your photograph tells - the power of the wind, the fierceness of the conditions, the inhospitability of the mountains in the winter. Excellent!

Tim!
