This is one from last fall at Grenchenberg(a mountain in the Jura mountains of switzerland) when we got the first snow of this winter. This location is perfect when there's fog in the valley below. The first light of the day made the limestone rocks glow.

A real edge of the earth feel to this image - I'm not sure if I want more or less "empty" space but I think it should be one or the other

Wow, That is one impressive view! I like the way this comp works and the conditions (early light and fog) you captured so well made a fantastic image. Perfectly captured and one amazing scene!

Bill, it must have felt good to look down on the clouds. You seem to have captured the scene well.

This is the sort of scene we have come to expect in epic fantasy films. It's good to know that such breathtaking views exist in real life. Great work putting yourself in the right place at the right time, and capturing it so well with a well-composed image.

I think it's a pretty good balance of empty space vs land given the subject. Love lowland foggy conditions for sure.

That is some deep fog.

This is literally over the top. Just spectacular Bill. I think your last two images from the edges are some of my favorites.
