Fragile Falls

Reprocessed this image from Fall 2011 of Douglas Falls, WVA. Polluted waters resulted in the orange rocks you see here. Any comments & critiques are appreciated.

Thanks!

Water speed is perfect for me, nice comp, the rocks are a strange color but after the explanation, I sort of like them.

The shutter speed , comp, and colors are really sweet. My only nit, and a small one at that , would be to have a bit room at the top so as to not cut off the colorful tree. Looks like you trying to crop the sky . Very nice as is.

I agree with Gary's comment about the framing, but if it was to eliminate some distraction like the sky, the crop was worth it. Otherwise, it's a VERY nice composition. This scene is so pretty, I almost wish you hadn't told us about the polluted water!

Hi Navin!

It's fascinating (but sad) that pollution brought some beauty into the world. This is a pretty scene. As Gary and Wayne commented, it would have been nice to see the entire gold tree. Well done image over all.

Hi Navin, What a pretty scene this is. The warm tones look great and I especially like the looks of the water. Nice shutter speed!

Your low POV works really well here, Navin. It makes me feel like a part of the scene. This has a nice glow to it; almost painterly.

Everything works here for me.
The story adds to the capture and tells a tale we all need to be aware of. Low angle excellent.
Well done Navin :toast:

Great interaction between all of the colors here and the two levels of falling water is very inviting. I would like more room on the bottom though that would probably only be achieved through stitching images together

Beautiful color, and a nice flow for the eye from top left to bottom right. Well done.

I sure like the colors and the comp. here Navin. Sad that it takes pollution to make these interesting colors.

That's quite an interesting colour palette - usual but appealing visually, if not taking in account the environmental issues. Well composed.
