Chasing the Ladies

A couple of weeks ago I was going out to check out some areas for possible photo sites when I saw probably around 70 or so turkeys in a field close to the road. This group of toms were displaying and trying to impress the ladies, but they were not having much success. Thanks for all comments and critiques.

Richard, I rarely see this many turkeys at once and to have the males all feathered up has to be unusual. Really like this one. On my screen the colors look a little over saturated but that may be my screen. Nice job.

A wonderful capture Richard. I might have attempted to clone out the fence posts and wire. A very neat display of male puffery none the less. :toast:

Hello Richard

Wow... Those guys are impressive in numbers!

Too bad about the fence and posts:(

I like the exposure with the Back/Rim lighting!

What a sight to see! Very nice grouping of turkeys. Contrast and/or saturation is a bit high for my liking, but I like all the details you caught on so many birds. Sharon

Cool lineup, Richard. I'm a bit ambivalent about the one in front at right angles to the rest-wish he were facing just slightly our way. I find my eye drawn to the cool looking driftwood on the top-I think I might crop some top and bottom for more of a pano.

For me the post on the left really draws the eye away. Beside that it is a lovely image. Well done taking the opportunity.

Neat behavioral shot Richard, can't say I've ever seen so many toms 'displaying' at once before..
Great stuff! :toast:
