GreatBlue Heron Portrait

I took a number of images of this heron without it moving it's head to speak of. I kind of wanted more eye contact, but I also like the Looking-off-in-the-distance feel to this one. I particularly liked the texture of the blowing oof grasses in the bg.

1Div, 500mm f4 ISL + 1.4TC, beanbag on windowsill, f5.6, 1/640, Av mode with no compensation, iso640. Processed in CS6 and cropped slightly to 12.6MP. Taken January 11th at 10:33 am under cloudy skies.
