Cuban Senora

A small remote village in Cuba where the people are beautiful !
The morning was enjoyed seeing the vintage cars parade the small streets .
Cubans are extremely proud of their American made cars from 1959 and before.
Their ingenuity to keep them mobile is amazing to see and enjoy!:)
While photographing the cars I noticed this lovely lady sitting on the side of the street
Enjoying the daily activities. I communicated in my very limited Spanish & we agreed through sign language mostly, it was Ok to snap a few frames of her. She was very happy to sit there while I took a few quick Photos. The Cubans do not have much beyond the very basics but they seem so content and amiable! I only had a few pesos to share with her before I moved on.

Oh the stories this woman could tell. Her face shows much character and you captured it in such detail. A vertical including more of her head dress would add even more interest.

Wonderfully expressive face! I can agree with Patricia's suggestion, but I also like the way you have composed it as presented. The cutoff top and negative space on the left add a nice tension to the image. Very well done.

Hello William, good expression and detail. I too might crop from the left. I’m wondering why you used ISO 1100?

Hello

Patricia, I think the empty space is offset by her strong appearance and tension as Harley mentions.

Yun, I was photographing Old cars driving by & using a faster shutter speed of 1/1250 which pushed up the ISO .
It was a surprise encounter & I didn't think to slow down the Shutter speed & reduce the ISO, was using Auto ISO setting on Manual.
